Dear Spice Girls,
Thank you.
For teaching me — from a very young age — that being yourself wasn’t just okay… it was fabulous.
For showing me that friendship is power, that difference is beauty, and that attitude can change everything.
From “Wannabe” to “Viva Forever”, your songs weren’t just hits — they were mantras.
You were my first taste of freedom, glitter, impossible heels, and the unapologetic power of five women who never asked for permission to shine.
But more than that — you taught me that style has many faces.

That someone could be loud, sporty, elegant, sweet, rebellious… and all of it could be powerful, beautiful, magnetic.
You made me fall in love with the idea that being different wasn’t something to hide — it was something to celebrate.
Mel B — your fierce, untamed energy.
Emma — your softness, never to be mistaken for weakness.
Mel C — your voice, your fire, your strength in motion.
Geri — the rebel spark that made standing out feel like a revolution.
And Victoria — poised, dry, iconic… my very first fashion crush.
I didn’t just grow up with you. I grew into myself with you.
I had your Spiceworld album — played it nonstop until it got scratched.
I watched the movie at least 700 times: in theaters, on VHS, and on Televén in Venezuela.
I photocopied your posters, cut your pictures from magazines, collected every article I could find.
I was that fan — watching all your videos, memorizing every lyric, dreaming of being part of your glittering world.
Now, as a journalist in arts and entertainment, I understand even more deeply the legacy you created — and the personal revolution you sparked in me.
You didn’t just make pop history.
You helped me write my story.
If you ever read this, please know:
A little boy in Venezuela once dreamed of being free…
and thanks to you, he believed it was possible.
He still does.
With all the love, good vibes, and gratitude in the universe,
